DGNews: 2 Upcoming Spring Exhibitions

Howdy folks.

Though it snowed a bit the other day in Chicago, we're holding onto the belief that it was merely weather's last ditch effort to harsh our growing awareness that SPRING IS NEAR! And that means.... we come out of hibernation!

We are so very pleased to announce two upcoming exhibitions around the country:

Out East, in Warren, Rhode Island, YES Gallery + Studio (led by the fantastic Leigh Medeiros) has put together a duo-show titled Some of Its Parts featuring Dolan's work and the fantastic collages of Shelley Kommers. We couldn't imagine a better gallery to help kick-off the spring season. As with all exhibitions, YES Gallery + Studio will be donating 5% of the sales from the exhibition to a local non-profit organization (this month's exhibition benefiting the Providence Animal Rescue League). And, what's more, YES Gallery + Studio is located in a tax-free arts district meaning no sales tax on any art purchases. Amazing!

Studio b., located in charming Three Oaks, Michigan, will be featuring Dolan's work in the exhibition Spring for Green, a show highlighting artworks made from recycled/sustainable materials or inspired by nature. Bridget Verdun of Studio b. has said of the exhibition: "It is our goal to hang a show that speaks to our concern and efforts as artists toward the environment and also to make work that is affordable by utilizing found objects and natural materials."

Well, we clearly second that!

Dolan is honored to be the featured artist of this exhibition. On view will be a handful of Rescued Wood Constructions, a selection of original mixed media works, and a few of our finest Box Prints.
