Well, it's freezing cold in Chicago and everyone seems to be hibernating and/or watching TV, but somehow we're managing to keep things alive and rollin' along at the studio. Here's the latest:
- Last Friday, we had a great turnout at the opening reception for "Today's Chicago Artists" at Chicago City Arts Gallery despite the bitterly cold temperatures. Thanks to all our friends and colleagues that came out to support us and gallery director Matt McDermott. If you missed the opening, there are still 7 more weeks to view the exhibition. You can also view images of the opening reception and preview the exhibition online; read a review by Paul Klein in his latest Art Letter; or e-mail Matt to schedule a time to meet one of the exhibiting artists at the gallery for a special exhibition tour.
- On Monday, the Art Director for the Chicago Tribune called to recruit Dolan for an upcoming fashion spread in their Sunday Chicago Tribune Magazine insert. The roles have reversed and Dolan will be modeling versus fashion styling this time, bearded face and all. So, all you Tribune subscribers out there, look for a full-page photo and short bio in an upcoming issue of Tribune Magazine.
- We're firming dates for our 2007 art and craft fairs and adding dates and locations as the jury results come in. Check our events page for the latest additions to the summer calendar. One of our most exciting shows this year will be Cherry Creek Arts Festival in Denver, consistenly rated one of the top fairs in the country.
- After re-launching their website and independent designer lookbok, our New York retaler Trunkt has created quite the stir. Learn more in this recent feature by decor8 and check out Dolan's listing on Trunkt.org
