Beholder Photography Show in San Francisco

Strong proponents of new business models for art sales, we're always on the lookout for dealers and retailers that defy the standard brick-and-mortar exhibition and representation model. The Beholder is one such example, a San Francisco based dealer (Suzanne Shade) that promotes her artists through an online catalog and e-commerce site. While there are infinite sites for purchasing art online, few sites present gallery-quality contemporary work while also including e-commerce utilities more commonly associated with big box retailers. The Beholder shows you the scale of each work, allows customers trial periods with the artwork, and also offers customized gift cards.

Occasionally hosting day/weekend-only exhibitions, San Francisco collectors will have the unique opportunity to view a collection of works in person this month at the Pleased to Meet You one-night exhibition of 8 Beholder photographers.

PLEASED TO MEET YOU
a special one-night exhibition
Friday, June 29: 7pm-10pm
Park Life: 220 Clement Street, San Francisco

Participating artists include Corey Arnold (Portland), Paul
Paper (Lithuania), and Patryce Bak. Guido Vitti (Boston) is offering prints of his work from Lemon Magazine.

wow, thanks for posting this- i went over to beholder to check out lisa's great stuff and stumbled across some work by my interior design teacher, ryan kapp, who i haven't seen for a few years. (he probably doesn't even remember me- but i will always remember him! what an inspiration he was.)

I'm a fan of art, but I don't follow it. There are definitely some great posts here with some great pictures, thanks for the great read and look.
