Studio News June 27

Well, we're back in Chicago after a 5-day wedding related trip back home to the Shenandoah Valley. We squeezed in a little time outdoors, including some water jug and watermelon shooting practice with both shotgun and rifle. Our time in Chicago is brief, though, soon to begin our July art fair triple header. First up, we are driving to Denver for the Cherry Creek Arts Festival July 6-8. After that, we're back in the Midwest for the Madison Art Fair on the Square July 14 and 15 and the Ann Arbor Street Art Fair July 18-21. We have about 30-40 new paintings and collages in the works, including a whole new set of small paintings, to be unveiled at the July shows. Look for fair photos on our Flickr page in late July.

Beyond all this art fair madness, our New York retailer and indie design promoter, Trunkt, has re-launched their online catalog and buyer's guide. Check out jewelry by Red Room and children's clothing by Nina and Tom, as well as the many designers featured in our previous post.

Three bird constructions have been shipped to a new retailer in Seattle, Square Room. While you're there, also check out the mixed media paintings by owner Brian McGuffey. We met Brian and co-owner Leif Holland, also an artist, at the Birmingham Magic City Art Connection and jumped at the opportunity to work with such friendly and talented guys.
