Just down the highway from us in Chicago is one of the Midwest's great destinations for grand contemporary art - Uncle Freddy's Gallery!
Located in Northwest Indiana, Uncle Freddy's is the project of Tom Torluemke and Linda Dorman - two terrific folks we are glad to count as friends. In addition to holding art exhibitions, the gallery regularly hosts craft-making workshops, performances and fundraisers/food-drives.
Opening this weekend is an exhibition of Greg Hertzlieb's stunning, highly detailed artwork. Be sure to check it out this Saturday!

P.S. For all you Hoosiers out there, be sure to check out Tom Torluemke's 8 feet tall, 127 feet long, FANTASTIC mural, The Book of Life, recently completed and installed at the Indianapolis/Marion County Cental Library.
