We spent Sunday morning with the delightful Tracy "Fancy" Smith of Cactus Creek. For fans of western, rustic, and vintage, head over to her blog for daily design inspiration (after all, don't we all have a little cowboy/cowgirl in us?) and advertising opportunities. This fall, we'll begin stocking some wares in her recently re-opened design studio in Weston, Missouri, just outside of Kansas City. After taking a break from retail operations to spend time with her three young boys, Fancy has re-opened a location open the second Saturday of every month and by appointment. Fancy was in town participating in Country Living's annual Women Entrepreneurs Event, an event I might consider attending next year.

Come to a Store Near You
Speaking of new stores, keep your eyes peeled for DG wares in two new cities later this summer/fall . Discussions are underway to send work to Lark and Key Gallery and Boutique in Charlotte, NC and Art & Invention Gallery in Nashville, TN just as soon as possible.



Renegade Craft Fair Brooklyn
Things will be quiet around the blog for a week or so as we hit the road for Renegade Craft Fair in Brooklyn. The fair takes place on Saturday and Sunday, June 6 and 7, from 11am-7pm in McCarren Park. It's our first show in New York and we're thrilled. In honor of the show, we'll be releasing many new Panel Paintings themes and small mixed media collections. Come visit us in booth 56.

More Commissions
Dolan completed another commission this weekend, this mid-size shadowbox collage in the spirit of its larger cousin, Jazz Atlas. This piece was commissioned as a graduation present from a wife to her husband, both long-time fans of Dolan's collage work. We look forward to presenting the piece to the wife this evening.
