As we prepare for our 2010 art fair season, we've been given a lot more consideration to the environmental impact of our travels, the shows in general, and our packaging materials used at each art fair. For now, such travel remain a necessary part of our business and so we've been exploring additional measures we could take to off-set our footprint. This week, we completed one step in the right direction, a partnership with carbonfund.org as a small business CarbonFree Partner. Carbonfund.org is the nation's leading nonprofit provider of carbon offsets. As a side note, we're still on the hunt for a retail bag alternative for our art fairs. The requirements are as follows. If anyone has any suggestions or suppliers for us to check out, we'd be very grateful.
- water resistant (to protect customer's artwork purchases in the rain)
- weight: 2.0 mil minimum
- sizes: 24" x 21" and 18" x 14" (approximately)
