Belated Introductions: New Retailers

Before we hit the road for the East Nashville Arts Fest, we wanted to take a few minutes and post some belated retailer introductions via our regular (okay, semi-regular) Brick and Mortar column. We're honored to have the support of these shop owners and thrilled to be able to offer more our friends & fans more retail destinations for shopping handmade. (Etsy is amazing, but we know sometimes you like to shop in person). Each new account also means we'll be planting 10 trees through Carbonfund.org's Million Tree Challenge. Personally, we like to visualize each new tree being planted as we watch the packages go out the door here at the studio. It helps off-set our everyday back-drop of concrete and industrial buildings. :)

Tell 'em Dolan & Ali Marie sent 'ya and you just might earn some extra brownie points in the shop.

The Art Mill is a public art studio, boutique, and gallery in Omaha, Nebraska with a particular focus on reusable, recycled, and handmade works. Upon our return from Nashville, we'll be shipping them a nice selection of works--BOX PRINT reproductions, a Rescued Wood Construction, and some DG MINIs. Click here to win a free painting class, all supplies included, for use this June. While you're there, also check out their roster of beginner art courses and art party options.

Cogswell Gallery
is a fine art gallery in the resort community of Vail, Colorado. After skiing in Vail for years as a child, it was a pleasure to receive the call from owner John Cogwell that they'd like to expand the collection they have at their Colorado Springs location, The Squash Blossom, and stock in Vail as well. Dolan's work will add a contemporary flair to a solid collection of traditional oil & watercolor painters, bronze sculptors, and fine jewelry makers. Look for a shipment in Vail late next week.

The Gypsy Wagon is an East Dallas based gift shop we've been hoping (courting) for months now. Thanks to a new location with double the square footage, we just shipped our first order to help fill all that wonderful new retail space! Shop for eclectic antiques and home furnishings, flea market finds, accessories, apparel, and tons of handmade goods. A new website is coming soon; in the interim, check their Facebook page for regular updates.

R.H. Ballard Art, Rug & Home is a destination shop in the BEAUTIFUL Washington, Virginia (we're not biased toward Virginia or anything) offering fine art, unique gifts, and quality textiles from around the globe. Owners Robert and Joanie Ballard combine years of experience in the art community with a love for travel and design into a stunning store just down the street from the infamous Inn at Little Washington. Their labor of love shows; most notably R.H. Ballard was heralded as one of the top 50 shops in the South by Southern Living Magazine.

Susan Fredman At Home is the retail off-shoot of one of Chicago's most prominent residential interior designers, Susan Fredman. Look for works in their two locations: At Home in the City at 350 W Erie and At Home with Nature in Union Pier, Michigan. Don't miss their upcoming 4th annual Revive Your Retreat event, June 5 at their Union Pier outpost.
