A hot & sticky weekend in Minneapolis, Minnesota was rewarded with a wonderful honor: Best in Show in 2D Mixed Media at the Uptown Art Fair! Special thanks to everyone that braved the heat this weekend to support the 350+ artists set up at this year's show. And our deepest appreciation to the Uptown Art Fair media team for their help securing TV interviews on multiple stations on Friday including Fox 9 and KARE 11, as well as this video interview with Metromix.

We also dropped by Bucktown eco retailer Grasshopper 510 to restock some Panel Paintings and drop off a couple of our BOX PRINT reproductions with the recent announcement that all of our prints on wood are green. New Retailers: Homespun Indy & Artful Hand
Homespun Indy is Indianapolis's first handmade-focused retailer, a boutique, gallery, and teaching space devoted to contemporary craft located in the historic Irvington neighborhood. Owners Amanda Mauer Taflinger and Neal Taflinger also run INdy's first and largest contemporary craft fair, the INDIEana Handicraft Exchange.
Artful Hand, located in Fort Worth, Texas, offers a fresh collection of North American handmade furniture, artisan jewelry, decorative objects and hand crafted wares. Voted "Best Last Minute Gift" in 2010 by Fort Worth TX magazine, Artful Hand also specializes in memorable gifts for your friends & family. We'll be shipping work in late August in preparation for the Fort Worth Art Dealer's Association Fall Gallery Night on September 11, 2010 with participating galleries, museums, retail businesses and restaurants throughout Fort Worth.
Dolan Geiman to the Trade
We're thrilled to have recently received a slew of orders & inquiries for commercial projects. First, working directly with an art consultant, a collection of BOX PRINT reproductions will be incorporated into the Franciscan Skemp Sparta Campus in Sparta, Wisconsin, a recently renovated and expanded medical clinic that just opened on August 2 (read more >>). We're also working directly with the general manager at the Mark Twain Hotel in Peoria, Illinois to incorporate artwork into guest rooms being renovated this winter. One of the works being considered is a BOX PRINT reproduction of this new Bluebird-Fall Foliage combo work, Through the Parlor Window:
