My Winter Journey into Germany in 150 words


Snow, Alps, gluhwein, handmade Christmas ornaments, geese, Carrion Crows, English Garden Park (second largest park in the world), sausages, weiner schnitzel, more snow, horse drawn sleigh, gingerbread, mistletoe, Norway Pines, buzzards (not vultures, these German buzzards look more like hawks), ice skating, sledding on sheepskin covered sleds, surfers in the river (yes, in the snow and 10 below), free box of used books, cathedrals, Christmas market, Fishing and Hunting Museum, road to Wiesbaden, frozen trees, frozen fields, huge jackrabbit in the fog, icicles on sunflowers, homemade wooden deer stand, small birds in yellow and blue, Bier, Beer, BEER, sauerkraut, lion’s head tureen with sausages, huge warm pretzels, kisses on the cheek, Munchen, mustached taxi drivers, Ferris wheel in the town square, tables in the snow for dining, with blankets for your lap, applewine in crocks, bier hall, glockenspiel, ale, collage, roaring fire in a giant log, Lebkuchen Christmas cookies.
