Lost & Found Stools by &made Design
Now that's what we call work-appropriate office furniture! At least it would be for us here at Geiman Headquarters... Only in dreams!Upon taking a gander at a great sustainable-design blog, Inhabitat.com, we came across the terrific and clever, clever, clever work of the UK-based design group &made (Dave Cameron and Toby Hadden).
Lost & Found Table by &made DesignDolan has long described the work he does as based on the practice of 'upcycling' - transforming found, discarded objects bound for the dumpster into something refined or re-usable - and a similar philosophy clearly informs &made's designs as well, who produced these pieces with salvaged wood and found furniture.
Tree, Zoe Leonard, 1997 - Image c/o New MuseumHorray for art made with salvaged wood! It's good for the environment, let alone overhead expenses (wink)!

I am happy to see that some furniture designers are paying attention to what's happening to our environment, especially to our trees. Let's give them a big hurrah! And also for this blog site that features such nobel stuff. I admire you all, guys! :)
