Yes, even art fairs get tornadoes. However, we dodged the bullet this time. At 8:30 pm the sky around Minneapolis started to get real apocalyptic, with dark bands of smoky clouds swirling and streaks of colored heat lightning. Then, five minutes later, the Tornado sirens started droning, at which point local authorities suggested that all pedestrians and artists take cover in the local YWCA. So we ran over to the Y, as it started to lightly rain, and noticed that there was already a small group of people waiting at the front doors. Turns out the Y didn't want people coming in. They were telling us to go somewhere else. One guy finally pounded his fists so hard on the door that they called the manager who immediately apologized and let us take refuge in the basement. Fortunately, that turned out to be the only dramatic moment, and the tornado itself decided to move northeast of the city. A little drama, a little panic, and a little weather. But on a positive note, we sold some art! And we're still alive.

That is my nightmare. We can dodge wind, but tornadoes will definitely take a craft show DOWN. Glad nothing too bad happened!
Good lord! I am glad it missed you guys.
